He may be an Arizona Cardinal now, but former Redskin Lorenzo Alexander returns to DC for his annual Ride to Provide charity event.
On Saturday, April 20, 2013 NFL Pro-Bowler, Lorenzo Alexander will hold his 4th annual charity bike event - Ride to Provide event at the Reston Town Center.
Lorenzo along with many Redskin players and The Sports Junkies of 106.7 The Fan, will be joining healing military heroes, as well as hundreds of children and adults on the W&OD Trail for a 10, 20, 35 or 53 mile fun and scenic bike ride that begins and ends at Reston Town Center, Virginia.
"Get up, gear up and give a little of you to make a world of difference in the lives of others," says host and NFL player, Lorenzo Alexander. "I am thrilled to have so many community members and businesses come out and join my fourth annual Ride To Provide. Their support will help improve the lives and wellness of hundreds of local youth through my ACES Foundation as well as our healing military heroes from Ride 2 Recovery, a fantastic organization."
Washington Redskin Kedric Golston will serve as co-host for the day's festivities. Also on hand and riding will be current and former Redskin's London Fletcher, Alfred Morris, Ryan Kerrigan, Antwaan Randle El, Niles Paul, and Chris Wilson.
Participants and guests will have the opportunity to meet, mingle and bike ride with Redskin players, healing military heroes, and media personalities. During the post-ride celebration, there will be music, raffle drawings and food and drinks provided by Manhattan Pizzeria, Chipotle, Giant Food and Whole Foods. Attendees can receive autographs and will have the chance to win great prizes including a live sit in with The Sports Junkies, hotel accommodations, concert tickets, game day tickets, autographed memorabilia, gym memberships, gift certificates and many other great prizes.
All proceeds from the charity bike ride will benefit Lorenzo's ACES Foundation serving area youth as well as healing military heroes from Ride 2 Recovery, Project Hero—Bethesda.
