The Howard University women's basketball team concludes its three-game homestand tonight with a 7:00 p.m. matchup against Loyola (Md.) in Burr Gymnasium on the Howard University campus. HU hosts the Loyola Greyhounds after defeating Mount Saint Mary's 77-52 on Sunday, Nov. 25 in Washington, D.C.
To obtain a 25-point win, three Lady Bison seniors attained season-best outing. Kara Smith tallied a season-high 20 points, going 4-of-6 from three-point range, while Cheyenne Curley-Payne and Saadia Doyle shared assists accolades with a season-high 10 assists for Curley-Payne and a season-best five assists for Doyle.
Doyle also led in scoring with 26 points, steals with two and rebounds with eight, while Curley-Payne accompanied 11 points to her 10 assists for a double-double and red-shirt junior Jerelle Gorham tallied 10 points.
Collectively, the Lady Bison finished at 64 percent from the charity stripe, 49 percent from the field and 38 percent from long range.
