Both men predict they will win, but as you know only one man will wear the belt that evening.

Look for National Golden Gloves boxer of the year Jerry Odom in his first professional bout as he debuts on the October 27 under card.

Doors open at 6:00 pm, with the first fight scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm. All bouts are subject to change.  Fans are also invited to attend the fight's weigh-in The Greene Turtle Old Town Fairfax VA on the 26th, at noon.

Also on October 27...

HBO will premiere the last episode in their "2 Days" boxing show Beltway's own Seth "Mayhem" Mitchell.

HBO cameras followed the Mitchell camp for 48 hours prior to his April 28 bout against Chazz Witherspoon at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ. The program will air at 10 PM ET on October 27.

Mitchell, the undefeated heavyweight from Brandywine, MD (25-0-1, 19 KO's) will face Johnathon Banks (28-1-1, 18 KO's), in a 10-round co-feature bout on Saturday, November 17 at Boardwalk Hall. The bout will be televised by HBO.

(H/T to BATB for the info).

While HBO plans to follow Seth for 2 Days, we got Seth giving us his exclusive training workout, and sparring session.

A Fall Brawl?

Just three days from the presidential election, the area will see another fight.  Keystone Boxing's FALL BRAWL will take place on November 3rd at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center!

Local fighter, Dustin Harrison (9-0) will go to-to-toe with Kevin Rivers, Jr. (1-0).  Whoa!  Fans will be hard pressed to see if the 1-0 Rivers can handle Harrison and his record.

Also on the card Emmanuel Johnson, who will also be making his fight debut as he goes up against Jarret Hurd.

Doors for this event open at 7pm with the first fight starting at 8pm.

Wow! I saw what Kevin Rivers did in his first game and it was pretty impressive. Nevertheless, I am picking Harrison in this one.
