Pat Summerall Also To Be Honored
Mark Ingram, Jr. running back for the New Orleans Saints (and former star of the BCS Champion University of Alabama Crimson Tide) will be honored at The U.S. Dream Academy “Power of a Dream” Gala on Tuesday, May 1, 2011 in Washington, DC where this year's theme is “Dreams for the Future”.
The USDA benefits their nationally recognized after-school programs for children. Each year the Power of a Dream Gala attracts the support of Hollywood celebrities,
political figures, corporate executives, community leaders, and VIPs to invest
and raise awareness to further help U.S.Dream Academy programs succeed in making a difference in the
lives of at-risk youth and children of incarcerated parents.
Ingram joins former NFL player and TV sportscaster, George Allen 'Pat' Summerall on the evening.
Other honorees will include Lars Houmann (President/CEO Florida Hospital), Laura Kaeppeler (Miss America 2012), Hilton O. Smith (Sr. Vice-President, Community Affairs Turner Construction Company), and Kathy Victor (Board of Directors Chairman, Independent Business Owners Association International).
