Leigh Bodden of the New England Patriots is hosting Bowling with Bodden benefiting the Leigh Bodden Foundation on Monday, July 18 from 6:00 – 9:30pm at Lucky Strike in Washington, DC. The mission of the Leigh Bodden Foundation is to create and support programs that mentor, guide, inspire, and prepare young people for success by empowering them to transform their dreams into real possibilities.
“I grew up in this area and I’ve always been passionate about giving back and doing things in the community,” said Bodden. “My foundation is fairly new and I am hoping to continue to grow and develop more programs to show support for young people here and in New England.”
In addition to Bodden, other invited and confirmed athletes include Madieu Williams of the Minnesota Vikings and former University of Maryland star, Ray Rice of the Baltimore Ravens, Josh Cribbs of the Cleveland Browns, Chris Wilson of the Washington Redskins, Aaron Maybin of the Buffalo Bills, former Washington Redskin Shawn Springs, Etan Thomas of the Atlanta Hawks, former NBA and University of Maryland standout Laron Profit with more to be added. All guests will be able to meet and mingle with the athletes in attendance. In addition there will be a special presentation for winners of the 2011 Leigh Bodden Awards, one of the foundation’s signature programs that supports worthy young people in Prince George’s County.
Tickets to the event are available at www.bowlingwithbodden.eventbrite.com. General admission tickets are $45 and VIP tickets are $75. VIP lanes begin at $1,000 and include food, beverages, and bowling for up to 10 people.
