Redskins Get High Tech. Launch Redskins Feedr
The Redskins launched the team’s new iPad application, “Redskins Feedr,” which is now available for free download at the iTunes App Store.
Redskins Feedr gives the latest news, scores, analysis, photos, videos, and more about the Redskins team, players and coaches. Redskins Feedr allows fans to find Redskins news from all major Internet sources, including the official team site, www.Redskins.com, in one application.
Redskins Feedr also gives fans a real-time feed of everything on the Internet concerning the Redskins. Fans can also use the Redskins Feedr application to get updates on the other sports teams they follow.
To make signing on as quick and easy as possible, Redskins Feedr utilizes Facebook Connect so users do not have to go through multiple steps to register. Fans without a Facebook account can sign up for one from the app. Users can comment on stories, share on Facebook and Twitter, and share stories with friends directly in the application.
The Redskins Feedr iPad application was developed by FanFeedr, makers of the popular FanFeedr iPad application. In the upcoming months, the Redskins will announce versions of the Redskins Feedr application for other platforms such as Android and iPhone.
The Redskins are believed to be the first NFL Club to release a team-sponsored application for the Apple iPad.

One Last Egg To Fry
The Redskins take on the Arizona Cardinals in the final game of the preseason this Thursday night. NOTE: It will be the first preseason matchup between the two teams since 1971!
Donovan McNabb is not expected to play as he continues to deal with a sore ankle. Malcolm Kelly was placed on IR after re-injuring his hamstring in practice last week.
The Skins released linebacker Hall Davis, long snapper James Dearth, safety Lendy Holmes, and offensive lineman Edwin Williams. They must slim down their remaining roster of 75 players to 53 before 6 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 4, making this Thursday's game a pivital 'show up and show out' must do for remaining players.
Just when you think our QB had issues nearing the start of the season, Arizona may not be faring any better. Speculation about the future of Arizona QB Matt Leinart is in question.
The Redskins defeated the New York Jets 16-11 last Saturday FedEx Field. They face the Dallas Cowboys on September 12 at FedEx Field, the start of regular season.
Will McNabb be ready or will he still be dealing with ankle soreness?
“I really don’t know for sure", said Shanahan. "That is why it is day-by-day and we just need to see how it goes. Hopefully he won't be.”
