· "Tournament now boasts four Top 10 playersThe tournament, which runs from July 31- August 8, also reports that Fernando Verdasco, ranked No. 10 on the South African Airways ATP World Tour Singles Rankings, has received the second (of four available) Wild Card berths for the 2010 Legg Mason Tennis Classic presented by GEICO, an ATP World Tour 500 and Olympus US Open Series event. He joins a growing list of players who are making their Legg Mason Tennis Classic debut this year – and brings the number of Top 10 players to four.
· Argentina’s David Nalbandian – who will return to the ATP World Tour at the Legg Mason Tennis Classic – did play Davis Cup for Argentina this weekend. He won singles on both Friday and Sunday, giving Argentina the win against Russia, in Russia!
· Legg Mason Tennis Classic-bound Mardy Fish (USA) won his first tournament of 2010 this weekend, when he defeated Olivier Rochus to capture the title at the Hall of Fame Championships in Newport, RI. Fish’s win vaulted him 30 points up the rankings! He is now #49."
