The Howard women's tennis team defeated Georgetown, 4-3 on Tuesday for its eighth consecutive win. The victory marked another milestone as HU defeated all the DC area schools for the first time in 25 years.
The Lady Bison, who have not lost a match since March 19, previously defeated George Washington on March 28 and George Mason on March 31.
In singles action against the Hoyas, sophomore Michelle Brown improved to 13-2 on the year with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Lauren Grecco at the No. 1 spot.
Freshman sensation Brittney Morgan pushed her singles record to 12-2 after defeating Vicky Sekely in three sets.
Senior Michele Gee defeated Samantha Martin at No. 5 singles and improved to 8-4 on the season while Anne Ahkimien came from behind to win at No. 6 singles; she improved to 9-4 with the victory.
Howard (12-3, 5-0 MEAC) hosts Longwood on Saturday, April 10 in a senior day contest beginning at 1 PM.
