The Caps come back home for Game 7 against the Canadiens in the race for the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Despite the concerted efforts of the hometeam the goaltending of Jaroslav Halak proved too much as the Canadiens skated past the Caps, 1-4, in Montreal.
The series had been previously tied at 3-3.
The Canadien win gives DC fans one last chance to see their Caps play at home in a pivotal, must win, Game 7 on Wednesday.
