Despite five Wizards players in double figures, the Wizards lose to Phoenix 90-102. Gilbert Arenas and Andray Blatche both contributed by leading with 20 points.
The Wizards had a lot of their players out of action today. The roster of players who didn't see playing time include Jarvaris Crittenton, Mike James, Antawn Jamison, JaVale McGee, Mike Miller, and Nick Young.
Despite several players out of commission, the Wizards did rally to come within six points, but the Suns' offense wouldn't allow the Wizards any closer in scoring.
The Suns were lead by Jason Richardson's 22 points, followed by
Steve Nash, while scoring just 11 points, had 17 assists. Amarie Stoudamire added 17, while Suns' center Channing Frye chipped in 18.
The Wizards haven't beaten the Suns (who had 20 turnovers in today's contest) since Dec. 22, 2006. Today's win boosts their record to 6-1, while the Wizards fall to 2-5.
The Wiz will again face the Heat, this time in Miami, to try to even the score after last Wednesday's 89-93 loss.
