Redskins' Valiant Effort

Despite A 27-24 Loss, Skins Actually Win.

Poised QB carries team.

Fans noticed a definite improvement in the Washington Redskins during last night's home pre-season game with the New England Patriots.

Work-a-tude!

That's where hard work and attitude meet. That's where good plays are executed, and the results are positive.

Fans love positive results.

You gotta give it up to QB, Jason Campbell. If he isn't the saint of all quarterbacks, I don't know who is.

With all the haterade directed at him from all sides: coaches, fans, reporters, media (ok, ok, I had my doubts too), this man brushed all that off and simply showed what he's working with, by doing.

"Jason's not tough enough." "Jason's doesn't show enough emotion."

Jason showed last night that he is, indeed, tough enough.

The man is poised under pressure, people (PUP). Poised under pressure. I'd even call that swag. Gettin' it done, without being overly pretentious.

It was Kool Moe Dee, back in the day, who asked his doubters when his rapping skills where challenged, How ya like me now?!

If doubters had any doubts, Jason Campbell has quickly dissolved them.

Campbell threw for 209 yards, carried his own 4 yard TD, and hit Chris Cooley with a pass that garned at 73 yard run down field - that took five New England Patriots to bring him down.

What made for a great game couldn't have been possible without the spectacular plays and effort of the Skin's other players.

London Fletcher's nine (count 'em) nine sacks; Brian Arakpo's six sacks; Haynesworth 'shoulder lean' on Tom Brady.

Despite Colt Brennan throwing a 100 yard interception to the Patriot's Jonathan Wilhite that yielded a TD, Brennan redeemed himself with a 40 yard TD pass to Marko 'I score a TD each game' Mitchell. (Mitchell scored a TD against the Steelers August 22nd).

That's what good games are made of. That's what fans want to see each time out. That's what I'm talking about!

Congrats Skins on a job well done!

The Skins showed promise, I'll give them that.

But we gotta see each time out.

I think the Redskins did just fine. I think they could have won if not for that interception.
