LeBron James Has Surgery. Back at Home With Fam.

LeBron James, whose playoff gesture raised a lot of commentary - even by our own Wizards' player, Brendan Haywood - (who claims not to comment on other players), had a five hour surgical procedure to remove a growth in his jaw.

According to an Ohio online publication:

The tumor affected the parotid gland, the largest of the salivary glands. James and his family were aware of the condition for several months but decided to wait for the conclusion of the season before performing the five-hour procedure. They did so with the clearance of the treating physician and medical staff.

All accounts are that James is back at home, and doing well.
