HOOP IT UP 3-ON-3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT AND SLAM DUNK CONTEST
The DC Sports and Entertainment Commission and Best Experiential Properties have teamed up to bring Hoop It Up, the largest 3on3 basketball tour in the world, to the RFK Stadium Festival Grounds on Saturday and Sunday, June 27-28, 2009.
This family-friendly tournament provides a weekend full of games, concessions and entertainment for hoops fans of all ages. Among the weekend’s festivities is the not-to-be-missed slam dunk contest. Entry into the slam-dunk contest is free and open to all tournament players and the general public.
The 2009 Hoop It Up Tour is comprised of 29 qualifying local events held throughout the United States from March through September, culminating with the World Championships this summer. The top 4 teams in each division from the June 27-28 tournament at RFK will automatically qualify to play in the World Championship tournament.
