Officials at the MEAC Conference announced the fields for the 2009 MEAC Tennis Championship, set to begin Friday, April 17 in Raleigh, N.C. The Lady Bison were selected as the two seed in the north, while the men's squad qualified as the third seed.
The women's team finished the regular season with a 6-11 overall record, including a 4-1 mark in MEAC play. HU squares off against third-seeded Bethune-Cookman at 8:30 a.m. on Friday at the Millbrook Tennis Courts. The winner of that match will face the winner of the No. 1 South Carolina State/No. 4 Morgan State match in the semifinals on Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
