The Affects of 'Roids!

Alex Rodriquez talked to the media today about his use of steroids.

In his words:

"For a week here I've been looking for someone to blame and I keep looking at myself."

"I was naive"

Remember when Jackie Robinson (another New York baseball player) had to face angry mobsters who hurled racial slurs, objects, and disparaging words at him in foiled attempts to prevent him from playing in the Major Leagues?

Thankfully the country has come a long way from those days (or have we?); but my, have the times bought on a different green monster.

In men:
*Breast enlargement
*Shrunken testicles
*Lowered sperm count
*Decreased sexual performance (i.e.Difficulty getting and maintaining erections)

In women:
*Growth of facial and body hair
*Male pattern balding
*Development of Adam's apple
*Deepening of voice
*Infertility

"First thing I say to a parent is 'I'm sorry.'

A note to teens everywhere: This is what steroids can do your still developing bodies:

*Stunted growth
*Severe acne
*Roids rage
*Death
