Monday In Sports!

Winless in Washington!

Aw, man! Another winless Washington weekend in the world of sports. (Almost).

The Wizards lost Saturday to Philly, 89-104. Philly is one of the worst teams in the league, and recently fired their head coach, Mo Cheeks due to their win less scoring 'pattern'. (Cheeks becomes the 5th NBA coach to face a 2008 Holiday firing). The Wizs face the Indiana Pacers tonight at the Verizon Center at 7pm.

The big win for the Wizards was Brendan Haywood giving back to moms during the Wizards' 12 Days of Christmas event. Brendan treated 300 moms to dinner at Georgia Browns in downtown NW, DC, and a holiday shopping spree.

( Side note: We took my mom to GB's for her birthday this Fall and she loved it!)

Good look, Brendan!

The Wizards host an annual 12 Days of Christmas event to help those in need. Check out more Wizards in the community this holiday season!

Our Redskins came up short against Cincinnati, losing 13-20.

"We must play better", said coach Zorn. (Gee, ya think?)

Speaking of the Redskins.

Not Quite A Winless Weekend.

The bright spot in Washington sports this past weekend came on the heels of the Washington Caps' win over the Montreal Canadiens, 2-1.

Congrats to the Caps!

Congrats also to Sam Bradford on winning the Heisman Trophy!

Interesting dynamic to watch: DC area bands battle for inauguration parade rights.
