We're Not Dead, We're Still Alive!
That's what Redskins' cornerback, DeAngelo Hall said in a post-game interview after the Redskins lost to the Dallas Cowboys, 14-10. More.
Hall, a former Oakland Raider, recently acquired by Washington, had two tackles and one interception in his game debut.
"We aren't dead, and still have room to make the playoffs", said Hall (who celebrates his birthday this Wednesday).
Fullback, Mike Sellers, off a two yard pass from Jason Campbell, had the team's only touchdown.
Cowboys' Marion Barber, unstoppable in Sunday's game, had 24 rushes for 114 yards, and one touchdown. (Hey, aren't those Clinton Portis' stats?)
Joke aside, Clinton performed well (68 yards) despite having a sprained knee.
The Skins, now 6-4, face the Seahawks next Sunday in Seattle as they strive to get 'back to [football] basics'.
Game highlights.
Hall of Famers Honored
Darrell Green and Art Monk, 2008 HOF inductees, were officially given their Hall of Fame rings in front of the home team during a pre-game ceremony.
Monk recently became the recipient of ESPN 980's Night of Legends. Learn about that here.
More on Hall
Hall was released by the Oakland Raiders after "he failed to adapt to the Raiders' man-to-man style of defense and was regularly beaten by opposition receivers during the opening half of the season."
In total, Hall received $8 million for playing eight games for Oakland: a $7 million signing bonus and $1 million in base salary.
Hall signed a one-year contract with the Washington Redskins on November 8, 2008.
The team released cornerback Leigh Torrence in exchange for Hall.
