Keystone Boxing Packs A Punch (And A Few Knockouts Too)

DC boxing continued this past weekend with several bouts featuring some of the area's talented fighters.

The main event featured Clinton, Maryland's Demetrius Davis (168 3/4 lbs) and Linthonia, Georgia's Brian Norman.

Davis won a second round decision over opponent, Norman.

Elated over the win, Davis thanked God and his wife for getting his life back on track.

"Everyone knows about my past, but thanks to God, my wife, and my son... I'm back and I want everyone to see the new and improved Demetrius Davis", Davis said in a post-fight interview.

"I'm ready for anybody."

The evening's card also featured Dwayne Lawrence Martin (132 1/4 lbs), from Hyattsville, MD who made his pro debut extra special by defeating Akron, Ohio's, Ahmed Poskovic with a second round TKO.

Boxer Seth Mitchell, who was initially scheduled on the fight card, did not fight when his opponent, Jamal Terry was MIA for the weigh-in. Another tough break for Mitchell.
